Whether you’re learning Excel for the first time, or want a good review of the basics, we’ll be covering them in this course.

- Creating and Opening Workbooks
- Saving and Sharing Workbooks
- Cell Basics
- Modifying Columns, Rows, and Cells
- Formatting Cells
- Understanding Number Formats
- Working with Multiple Worksheets
- Using Find & Replace
- Checking Spelling
- Page Layout and Printing
- Introduction to Formulas
- Creating More Complex Formulas
- Relative and Absolute Cell References
Course Details:
- The course run for 8 weeks, meeting 90 minutes, once per week on Wednesdays at 6:00pm CST
- The course starts on the start date you select from the Date drop-down menu at the top of this page
- The course is led by a live instructor
- The course sessions take place on Zoom
- The instructor’s camera will be on, but your camera is optional
Course Requirements:
- Your own Microsoft Windows device with a recent version of Microsoft Office, including Excel, installed
- If needed, click here to learn more about Microsoft Office
- The instructor will be using the latest Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2021
- A stable internet connection
- The ability to access, attend, and participate in the class through Zoom (Ok to use the free version linked below)
- Zoom can be downloaded at https://zoom.us/
- Functioning speakers and a microphone
- An internet browser (Chrome, Edge, Firefox, etc)
- The ability to download and open Excel files on your device
- A quiet environment, free of disruptions and background noise that could interfere with the lesson
